Carmen Ferrell was born and raised in Waycross, Georgia. She is a graduate from the Neighborhood Playhouse in NYC--home of the famed Meisner Technique.
Most recently, Carmen delivers a bold performance opposite Tony Award-winning actor Shuler Hensley in Southern Gothic crime drama Devil's Hollow as a tenacious, resilient call girl rising above her unfortunate circumstances to make a better life for herself and her children. Also in 2021, Carmen chillingly depicts a mother's worst nightmare in award-winning script Dirty Laundry. In Pops she tugs at heartstrings as she portrays a daughter who is faced with the challenge of caring for her father battling chronic illness. In 2020, she enjoyed her gritty role of protagonist Mae in Alessio Cappelletti's harrowing historical drama Wretched Earth.
Prior to acting Carmen was a child prodigy flutist who performed all over the United States and Europe. She is still very passionate about music and listens to it all the time. Carmen is a long distance runner, high intensity exercise enthusiast, and certified health & wellness coach. She enjoys spending time outdoors and taking her two sons on adventures.
